The following issues are currently known in Match! version 3.4.2:
We have found that using the full COD reference database (containing more than 350,000 entries) on the Windows version of Match! may lead to frequent random
crashes of the program. The problem is caused by the memory limitation, with Match! for Windows still being a 32-bit program. For the next version 3.5.0 of Match!,
a 64-bit Windows version will become available in order to avoid this issue.
With 32-bit versions, you should try to avoid search-match calculations accross
the full COD database, e.g. by using appropriate restraints before running the search-match.
- A bug in the calculation of the initial scaling parameters for the Rietveld refinement leads to convergence problems because of much too high diffraction profiles.
- Some bugs affect the update of the crystallite size table if e.g. peak data or selected phases have changed.
The problems mentioned above will be fixed in the next version 3.5 that we are currently working on.
For the current, you can download a corresponding pre-release version.
