Crystal Impact outlook to 2019
December 18, 2018
Close to end of the year 2018 we would like to thank you again for your interest in our software,
and give you a brief outlook what you can expect from Crystal Impact in 2019:
Diamond 4.6 will be released, providing - amongst minor improvements and bug fixes - new functions for exporting 3D structure picture data into Wavefront OBJ and STL format, e.g. for post-processing in "3D Builder" or "Blender" or 3D-printing.
Match! will be improved continuously: We are currently working on version 3.7.1 (to be released
in early spring 2019), providing several improvements regarding degree-of-crystallinity analysis,
pattern graphics options as well as the display of 2theta- and d-values in the data sheet.
For version 3.8 the features have not been fixed yet, but we currently plan to add profile matching
(Le Bail fitting), quantitative analysis for entries without atomic coordinates (PONKCS), as well
as the option to display a large number of experimental diffraction patterns at the same time.
In Endeavour we would like to further investigate and (if possible) improve the possibilities of the
new "molecule atoms on special positions" option that has been added in the most recent version 1.8.
The next annual release 2019/20 of Pearson's Crystal Data will become available in late summer or autumn 2019
as usual, providing several thousand new entries.
Finally, we plan to open a Crystal Impact Online Store in January or February 2019. Here, you will be
able to order your licenses online directly, without having to print and manually fill and sign any order form anymore.
Payment will be possible either directly (online) using credit card (Visa, MasterCard or American Express) or PayPal, or
by bank/wire transfer against invoice (purchase order, available for orders with a net amount >299 EUR).
Upon ordering you will receive your license file, installation instructions and invoice/receipt by e-mail within 24 hours on working days.
We will keep you informed!
Our office will be closed from December 22 until January 1.
In urgent cases, please contact us by e-mail or fax.
We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
